Christmastime is a well-known time of year for giving—either of presents, time, or donations. Christmas with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon is no different! We plan and prepare all year for the end of the year jubilations we host and take part in, always striving to reach more than the year before.

Brandon Community HeadStart Christmas

One of our favorite Christmas programs is the visit we make to the local HeadStart programs alongside Santa Claus. Santa reads the seasonal favorite, The Night Before Christmas, and gives each child in attendance a gift.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

We’ve all seen them and recognize them on site—the big red collection buckets and bell ringers! Our members and volunteers help ring the bell every year to gather donations for the Salvation Army that are used throughout the year to help support the many programs the Salvation Army provides to the community.

Food and Need Drives For Local Non-Profits

Holiday seasons are some of the busiest times for local non-profits and food pantries. Leading up to the holidays and cooler months we help host and sponsor food drives and need-based drives (like coat or children’s gift collections), so that the Brandon area’s community outreach programs are well-stocked to bring joy and help families in crisis. Following the close of the busy season, we also host additional drives to help restock the local pantries and local non-profits with the goods they need to continue to provide their support throughout the year to the community.
