Our club is designed for individuals who desire personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of our community. The major focus of Kiwanis is on youth, and we have many different projects that target our community’s young people.

Yes, and it is also for homemakers, retired people, young adults, and anyone else who’s service oriented.

Are there stringent attendance requirements?

No. However, we want members who are eager to be involved, whether at meetings, service projects, or both.

Yes. Membership dues covers administrative costs of the club and meals. The majority of members pay for meals in their dues. Ask how we can make membership in Kiwanis work with your budget.

Come and see for yourself! We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday at 8:15 AM at the The Bridges, 11202 Dewhurst Dr, Riverview. There is always an interesting program, you’ll hear about our service projects, and we’ll inform you how you can get involved!

Kiwanis club members step forward. They believe in service. They care about children. They matter to the community around them—because the community matters to them. They’re people like you. Friends. Neighbors. Volunteers who want to make a difference. And they love to see the difference they make when they work together.

There’s no better feeling than serving your local community. And there’s nobody better to do it with than your local Kiwanis club.

If you are service-oriented and live or work in the Greater Brandon area, then we can help you achieve your service goals. We have many projects designed to serve our community in various ways, and with your energies added to ours, there is no limit to what we can accomplish!

Kiwanis is a “hands on” organization. Our members like to work directly with the people and environment we serve, and that is reflected strongly in our projects. We have a few projects (such as our scholarship programs) that involve giving money; but most of the things we do are hands-on. We encourage and welcome the innovative ideas new members bring to our organization.

If you would like to find out more about us and how you can start making a difference, we would like to invite you to come join one of our service activities or attend one of our meetings.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers who serve the children of the world. But every club is different. In fact, a Kiwanis club is like a community within your community.

As a member, you can:

• Enjoy the fellowship of like-minded people.

• Experience the satisfaction of changing lives and improving the community.

• Explore leadership opportunities.

When people work and serve together, communities grow stronger. So do Kiwanis clubs . . . and club members.
