Our teens are the next generation of leaders—lets be sure they’re ready to take over and make us all proud. Key Club is a service leadership organization for teens that teaches leadership through service to others. Key (Kiwanis-Educating-Youth) Club members build themselves as they build up their schools and communities all the while making friendships and cultivating leadership skills.

Each school’s Key Club is its own self-governing organization—they elect their own officers, hold their own meetings, select their own service projects, and meet their own club goals.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon helps to promote Key Clubs at local high schools and help the students involved in the club to identify a community need, plan a service project, raise funds to support their project, and encourages them to achieve their goal to improve their community. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon serve as mentors for the students of Key Club, providing insight and instilling important skills such as leadership, representation, and volunteerism while teaching them a sense of “community”.

We presently have Key Clubs at Armwood High School, Brandon High School, Riverview High School and Newsome High School. If you are interested in starting a Key Club at your Brandon area high school, please contact us or visit www.keyclub.org/.

Key Club Members are eligible to submit applications for Kiwanis-sponsored scholarship opportunities. Winners are selected and awarded based on need, high grades, having outstanding character, volunteerism and leadership, and displayed work ethic.
